About the meaning that this words express, the most famous theory is "The month of water".
The kanji "Na (= Mu)" meaning is "nothing, zero", but this is merely a kanji of the pronunciation same as attributive particle "Na".
(This time (= June of lunar calendar) needs volumes of water for the growth of rice. )
